Welcome to the Open Access Week portal

Open Access Week (19 - 25 October 2020)

To mark International Open Access Week (19 - 25 October 2020), this portal brings together the best open access content published in Bioscientifica's journals, and provides information to support you to submit your own work to our most appropriate journal. Scroll down to view more information on each of our open access and hybrid titles.

Publishing open access ensures your research has the largest possible audience, increasing its impact and maximising the chance of getting cited.

Some of the key benefits include:

  • Your research is fully accessible to everyone, in every country, from the moment it is published

  • Increases the number of views your article can receive, and in turn increases the opportunities for being cited

  • Raises your profile as a researcher; other academics can fully explore your work; your methods and processes are fully appreciated, and the quality of your work can be recognised.

  • Improves outcomes of successful research by ensuring others can learn from your mistakes and challenges, whilst avoiding duplication of effort.
