Through
our experience with our parent learned society, BioScientifica
can offer an understanding of the requirements of other societies,
whether they involve clinicians, scientific and medical researchers
or nurses. Data is held on a bespoke Access database, which
holds all the details of the individual members. The database
is subject to regularly updated virus protection and automatic
daily back up with the back-up tapes being stored off site.
In addition to the day-to-day tasks of maintaining accurate
records and generating annual renewal notices and reminders,
we respond promptly to all membership enquiries and highlight
any relevant issues to the governing body.
Reports on any aspect of the membership can be provided, such
as details of paid members, details of lapsed members, details
of members categorised by interest, details of members for election
where appropriate, members who have left (specifying their reason).
Other reports can also be generated upon request. We can also
offer advice on methods of increasing membership and can put
in place measures to implement these.
Regular contact with the membership is essential and can be
maintained by either postal mailings or electronic mailings.
