The HypoCCS series aims to bring the latest basic and
clinical advances in pituitary-related endocrinology
to a broad audience. The BioScientifica rapid-publication
system ensures that the content is completely up to
date.
This is the 6th volume in a series of HypoCCS publications
dedicated to detailed, in-depth analysis of pituitary
pathophysiology and disease states. The theme of the
2002 book deals with the basis of loss of pituitary
function and the development of pituitary tumours that
over-produce specific hormones. In addition, a second
theme relates to the molecular and cellular actions
of growth hormone and IGF-I.
Contributors include leading researchers from Europe
and the USA: SWJ Lamberts (University Hospital of Rotterdam,
