Building on the success of the first Handbook of Neuroendocrine Tumours, the second edition of this book has expanded to include thoracic neuroendocrine tumours, as well as covering the many recent advances in epidemiology, the updated WHO classification, and new treatment options. Chapters have been structured to include both European and American perspectives, from the leading world authorities, in order to provide a globally relevant perspective.
The aim of this book is not only to highlight the advances in management, but to demonstrate how those management options can be tailored to the therapy of individual patients based on an understanding of the biology of each individual patient’s tumour.
